DEFENDERS Marketing Content Manager in INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana

Overview

Job Summary:

Responsible for delivering authentically voiced content to visitors of all DEFENDERS web properties. Technical driver behind marketing technologies that will provide rich experiences that build credibility with users and convert them to qualified inquiries.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible and accountable for growing organic site traffic year over year and converting that traffic to incremental leads and installs.

  • Plans and publishes a content calendar designed to drive repeat organic traffic to all DEFENDERS properties with an emphasis on acquisition. Content includes written, video, social and emerging mediums.

  • Develops and implements strategies/tactics to improve both on-page and off-page SEO.

  • Manages vendor relationships for the purposes of article creation, link building, video development and technical services.

  • Drives the adoption of marketing technology solutions that help identify, track and deliver dynamic content for users that conveys the right message at the right time.

  • Capable of and willing to act on his/her own. Seeks responsibilities and takes action without explicit instructions. Brings the game to the Manager of Digital Acquisition.

  • Utilizes proven methods of analysis (inductive and deductive) to determine root cause of complex problems both within and beyond his/her responsibility and identify/evaluate remedies.

  • Works with internal customers such as Leadership and Development , Digital and eCommerce to deliver organic content on a per project basis. Collaborates with IT, Compliance/Legal, Marketing Services and external agencies as needed.

Qualifications

Background / Education:

Education: Bachelor's degree

Skills/Background:

Extensive knowledge and experience in on-page and off-page SEO. Demonstrated product ownership track record with proven ability as a change agent. Strategic planning with strong thought-leadership capability, business experience and big picture focus while driving accomplishment of company goals.

Familiarity with digital marketing tools/programs including, but not limited to: Google products including Analytics, Tag Manager, Adobe Analytics/Marketing Cloud, facebook, contact center methodologies, content calendar management, video delivery services and CDNs.

Minimum Years Experience:

  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in performance-based SEO

  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in digital marketing

Physical Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work in an office environment (sitting) for extended periods of time.

  • Must be able to work at a computer for 6-8 hours a day.
